Join us for a weekend of fun, coastal clean up and mangrove planting with the locals in Gilutongan island, Cordova Cebu.
Bring your camping tents or home stay with the locals (Just don’t forget to bring a sleeping bag).
You can share a ride from Cebu City to Cordova, take the public transport or take a private vehicle and part it at the Cordova Municipal grounds. We will leave at 8:00 a.m. for Gilutongan.
Take note of the following schedule:
October 25, 2014 (Saturday)
07:00 -7:30 a.m. – Assembly at Cordova Municipal Hall
9:00 a.m. Do coastal clean up in designated areas
12:00 a.m. – Sea foods lunch prepared by the locals (For only Php100.00)
1:00 p.m. – Learning Sessions and Workshops to Empower Children, Youth, PWDs, Women, and Fisherfolks
4:00 p.m. – Games with the children
6:00 p.m. – Bonfire and Fellowship Night with volunteers and Cook out
October 26, 2014 (Sunday)
Morning Activities:
Mangrove Planting
Swimming
Kayak and SUP (minimum of 10 persons to confirm)
12:00 p.m. Lunch
3:00 p.m. Return to Cordova
Expenses:
- Boat transfer will be provided by the organisers
- Lunch Ph100.00 prepared by locals
- Kayak and SUP clinics and use for one day Ph700.00 (optional: includes entrance fee for the marine sanctuary to snorkel)
The EcoCamp is a part of our contribution to the World Cleanup Movement as we will host the 2nd Let’s Do It! Regional Conference for Asia this November 27-30, 2014.
